Deer Path Middle School welcomes you to join us as we run, walk, and jog while raising funds for the American Autoimmune Related Diseases Association on Tuesday, May 31 at 2:30pm.
Once again, the APT is offering an online school supply ordering service for the 2016-17 school year. School-Pak, Inc. provides this service for our district based on the District 67 developed list for the 2016-17 school year. This program, sponsored by the APT, is totally optional and is meant for your convenience and ease.
Don’t miss out! Place your order by June 10th to receive our district volume discount and free school delivery. All orders after June 10th will include a price increase of approximately 8-9% in addition to a home delivery charge.
The Board of Education approved a revised calendar at the April meeting. The last day of school will now be a half-day of attendance. Students will follow the 1/2-day attendance schedule on June 1st, and buses will run regular their regular routes. Lunch will not be served.

This year’s Opening Doors for Education Home Tour will take place on Thursday, May 12, 2016. This will be the 14th year that generous homeowners have opened their homes to our community to benefit our schools.
Home Volunteers receive a discount on the purchase of a home tour ticket. Interested?
Join us on Tuesday, May 3rd from 9-9:45 a.m. or 5-5:45 p.m. at the Administration Center (Board Room @300 S. Waukegan Rd.) if you would like to learn about District 67's efforts in meet the needs of students who are highly advanced academically.

Parents of incoming 5th Grade students are invited to hear a presentation regarding the educational and extracurricular opportunities available for your children next year at the DPM-EAST campus on Monday, May 2nd, 10am - 11:00am or 7:00pm - 8:00pm in the DPM Auditorium. After the presentation there will be time for a question/answer period.
Tuesday, May 10th, 9:30 - 11:00 am in The Cube at DPM. A panel of seasoned middle school parents will answer questions about their experiences on the social transition into 5th grade. Topics range from snow pants to cell phones, from lunch boxes to uptown outings. Walk out feeling empowered so you can prepare your students for the exciting years ahead at DPM! Get Involved at DPM!
Looking for a way to get involved at Deer Path Middle School next year? Consider a volunteer role on Deer Path's APT Board. It's a great way to help enhance the education and enrichment of our students and meet new people by serving our school community. Jennifer Karras, DPM APT Board President, will be at Jump Start to 5th Grade on May 10th to help you learn more. Please join us!
The Spirit of 67 Foundation's Grants Committee spent the day on Friday, April 15 awarding 23 grants, representing $258,000 in funding, across District 67. It was an EXCITING day in our schools! Please visit the Grants Day page for a glimpse of this special day.
K-8 parents and community members are needed to judge 8th grade passion project presentations on Thursday, May 19 from 9:00-11:00 a.m OR 12:00-2:00 p.m. We have quite a few judges for the 12-2 pm spot and would love some more volunteers for our 9-11 a.m.

If you have an incoming 7th grader for 2016-2017, please join Mr. Suminski and Ms. DeVore in the Haskins Center on May 3rd from 1:00-2:00pm or 6:30-7:30pm. We will offer information as to what to expect in 7th grade for both parents and students. In addition, we will hold a student orientation for all current 6th graders later in the month of May.
