Why Register For SafeStop?

Our easy-to-use mobile app features neighborhood maps and a MapView bus locator so you’ll never have to guess when the bus will arrive at your bus stop! Using GPS technology, the app updates every 30 seconds to help you better plan your busy day. In addition, you can have up to two user names per account to share access between parents or caregivers.

Already have a SafeStop Account? Here’s how to renew your subscription:

(1) Visit your registration page: LakeForest115.SafeStopApp.com/activate and enter in your child’s Student ID Number (just like last year!).

Don’t know your child’s Student ID? Please contact Melanie Walsh at mwalsh@lfschools.net and your school’s administration will assist you.

(2) Once you have renewed your subscription and processed your payment, you can start using SafeStop! We are already working with your school’s transportation staff to ensure that SafeStop is live for your school as quickly as possible.

Bus Times Have Changed - Effective Monday, August 29, 2016

Attention Bus Riders! It is important that we change all our regular bus pick up times to arrive 10 minutes earlier to ensure our bus riders arrive at school in a timely manner every day. Click the link above to view the bus routes with the new times for Monday through Friday.

Bus riders will continue to have the flexibility to choose each Wednesday (Blue Day) and Thursday (Gold Day) as a preferred route time, and the later bus route times have not changed.

Transportation

District 115 and District 67 are committed to having a safe and efficient student transportation program available to their students.

Transportation is fee-based, and bus routes are established to serve the greatest number of students with maximum safety and efficiency.

Bus passes and/or student ID cards will be distributed to students after school pictures have been taken. These passes/IDs must be shown when boarding the bus. Detailed information regarding student behavioral rules and regulations is available online.

Routes will vary somewhat from year to year, and changes may be necessary after the schedule has been put into operation. An emergency route system will be employed on a temporary basis if regular routes are unsafe or impassable.

Parents are required to provide transportation whenever children are detained or expected to come before school for disciplinary or other reasons. Also, if a student is temporarily disabled due to an illness or injury, that child’s bus stop may be temporarily adjusted as long as other bus stops on the route are not delayed and the bus arrival time to school is not affected. Parents of a child with a temporary disability are to contact Jennifer Hermes, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services / CSBO at 847-604-7402 to request special arrangements.

Students should be at their stop at least five minutes before the bus is to arrive and wait in an orderly manner. We ask your cooperation in developing safe habits for coming to and returning from school, and reserve the right to deny bus privileges to any student who does not exercise proper behavior.

Please be aware that the district reserves the right to utilize video/audio recordings on buses to monitor and maintain a safe environment.

Your child's Student's ID number is the same number that appears on their ID card.

Want to Purchase a 10 Pass?

Click HERE to purchase a 10 pass. Please be aware that each time you want your child to use one of the vouchers, you must fill out the Temporary Transportation Change form (District Form #610) and send it to school with your child.
