Welcome to the Lake Forest Community High School Family!

Lake Forest High School offers a strong, yet diverse, college preparatory program. College Prep, Honors, and Advanced Placement courses are provided in all areas in addition to quality enhanced courses in fine and applied arts, technology, and communication arts. Independent study and seminars are available to talented students who wish to pursue inter-disciplinary studies. Latin and fifth year foreign language study is offered. Extensive offerings in music and the performing arts enrich the educational studies.

  • LFHS Class Selection Process for the Classes of 2018, 2019, 2020 Begins Jan. 25!

    The 2017-2018 Lake Forest High School Student Course Guide is now available.

    Students meet with their counselors to request courses on the following dates:
    Class of 2020 - January 25 and January 26
    Class of 2018 – January 31, February 1, February 6, February 7
    Class of 2019 – February 10, February 16, February 21

  • Seal of Biliteracy Program

    Lake Forest High School students will have the opportunity in their Senior year World Language Course to be recognized by the state of Illinois for earning proficiency in English and one additional language. The Illinois State Board of Education’s Seal of Biliteracy program will place an official seal on diplomas and confer official recognition on transcripts of those students who qualify. Learn More!
