The Scouts hosted the Bears in a well-played conference game. The Scouts got down early and trailed by three going into the bottom of the fourth. By the bottom of the fifth, the Scouts tied the game at 3. The visitors were able to rally for 4 in the top of the seventh to get the victory.

Lake Forest 1 - Mundelein 11
The Scouts traveled to Mundelein to take on the Mustangs in a conference game. The Scouts were able to manage three hits against the home team with Jack Hartline getting two of the hits. Matt Casper was able to drive in the Scouts only run with a fielders choice in fourth inning.

The Scouts were leading 3-0 going into the bottom of the second inning, but were not able to hold off the Patriots. Ian Schuler had a strong day at the plate as he collected both of the Scouts hits against the home team.
Lake Forest 3 - Libertyville 12
After being down after two innings, the Scouts turned it around and played even for the remaining five innings.
Lake Forest 1- Libertyville 15
The Scouts fell behind in the first inning and were not able to recover. The home team was only able to scratch out one hit in the loss to the visiting Wildcats. The Scouts travel to Libertyville tomorrow for the rematch.
Lake Forest 2 Warren 8
The Scouts fell behind early and could not muster enough offense to overcome the deficit. The Scouts tallied eight hits on the day but could not string together enough hits in a row to cut into the lead. Ian Schuler and Carter Mitchell each had an RBI for the Scouts.
Lake Forest 8 - Warren 18
The Scouts traveled to Warren to play their first conference game. After getting down early, the Scouts bats came alive, and they scored six runs in the fourth inning. It wasn't enough to overcome the home team. Ian Schuler and Henry Bernhart led the team with two hits each on the day.
Lake Forest 5 Evanston 4
The Scouts started their season on the road and came away with a win at Evanston. Michael Raupp led the team by collecting 3 hits on the day. Ian Schuler and Jack Hartline added two hits apiece to help pace the offense. Ian Schuler, Matt Casper, and Michael Raupp took the mound and combined to hold the home team to 4 runs on the day.
Trent Webster, Head Freshman Boys Baseball
Coach Webster has been Head Boys Freshman Baseball coach since 2016 after returning to coaching baseball in 2015 on the Freshman B level. He coached baseball at LFHS for 17 years before taking a "break" for family and professional pursuits.
Trent received his Bachelor's degree in Science, Health Ed. from Southern Illinois University and a M.Ed. from National Louis University. He is a teacher in the Wellness Department at LFHS.
Steve Johnson, Assistant Freshman Boys Baseball
Coach Johnson has been Assistant Freshman Boys Baseball coach at LFHS since 2016, and he has been Varsity Girls Golf head coach at LFHS since 2014. Previously, he was Assistant Boys Golf coach at Lake Zurich HS for 3 years. In addition, Steve has been a Freshman Boys Basketball coach at LFHS since 2010.
Steve is a graduate of Bethel College in Minnesota. He is the Department Chair of our Special Education Department at LFHS. He is married and has 5 daughters.
