Schoology Access and Parent Schoology Directions are now available in Parent Portal!
Lake Forest High School is excited to announce Schoology as our new Learning Management System (LMS) for the 2017-2018 school year! An LMS provides course management, mobile learning, and support for system-wide communication. Schoology enables our students, teachers, and parents to engage with learning materials and their school community from the classroom and beyond. Additionally, Schoology benefits all stakeholders as a single, unified digital workflow system.
With Schoology, students can digitally submit homework assignments, see daily agendas and learning targets, participate in interactive discussions, receive announcements, take formative assessments, and more.
The adoption process by faculty to utilize Schoology will occur over a two-year period. At this point, about 50% of LFHS teachers are using Schoology to varying degrees. Therefore, it is possible in the 2017-2018 school year that your child has some, but not all, teachers using Schoology. If your child is already accessing courses in Schoology, you may currently view these courses via your student's Schoology account.
Parent/guardian access to Schoology in now in progress. Schoology will allow you to see your student's courses, materials, assignments, announcements, calendars, and more. Parent Access Codes and instructions were emailed to you on Sept. 18. You now have the ability to login and explore Schoology on your own. Additional parent training sessions have been completed.
