Student Services

Lake Forest High School offers many services to help students to succeed at LFHS and afterwards. Various departments are available to help students in the area of Counseling, Transcripts, Registration, College Admissions, Emotional Wellness, Health Services, and Special Education.


Core Support Teams

Lake Forest High School educational professionals who support academic, social emotional, and physical well being of students.The Core Teams are divided alphabetically and include counselors, Dean of Students, Social Workers, Psychologist, and Support Personnel. See Core Teams

Counseling Department

The mission of the Lake Forest High School Counseling Department is to enable all students to meet their potential by teaching, assisting, and encouraging them to:

  • Become productive and responsible citizens
  • Make appropriate self-directed academic, career, and post-secondary plans
  • Foster social/emotional health, self-awareness and a respect for and understanding of others

Dean of Students

Deans work on a daily basis to build relationships and advocate for students while promoting and encouraging appropriate school/student contact. Go to Deans/Attendace

Social Workers

Every LFHS student has an assigned social worker who is available for counseling, either on an as-needed basis or in regular scheduled sessions. Social Workers help students better manage stresses that affect performance and functioning in school. Social Workers also host SSRT’s (Student Support Round Tables) where students meet weekly to support each other around shared life stresses. All social work is private and confidential, unless a student is deemed to be physically at-risk. View Core Teams


School Psychologists perform a myriad of duties including direct work with students, teacher consultation, problem solving, assessment, research, and school-wide and program specific improvements. These functions are designed to support both general education and special education. See Core Teams


Advocate of student health while providing comprehensive and collaborative wellness for all students within Lake Forest High School. See Health Services

Student Assistance Program

District program to promote practices in substance use prevention and intervention programming for students. Learn more!

Volunteer Service

Volunteer service at LFHS is defined as any work done for the benefit of others without direct financial, material, or personal compensation or gain. See Community Service

School Resource Officer

The school resource officer acts as the liaison between the schools and police department, as well as promoting safer schools and students. The school resource officer is in the roll of law enforcement, yet serves as an advisor to students and families.

The district's health forms are available in a few different areas.

1. Health Services web page

2. InfoSnap - During on the online registration process, the health forms are made available for download on the Medical page and Medical Documents page.

3. InfoSnap - Once the online registration process is completed, a parent can log back into InfoSnap and download the health forms from the Submission Confirmation page.
