Dr. Jeff McHugh

  • Deputy Superintendent of Schools PreK-12

    The Deputy Superintendent is responsible for overseeing educational services and human resources in Lake Forest Community High School District 115 and Lake Forest Elementary School District 67. A member of the Superintendent’s Cabinet, the Deputy Superintendent provides leadership assistance and support to the Superintendent for the development, promotion, and implementation of the district’s priorities, objectives, and improvement efforts. Other responsibilities of the role include leading strategic planning efforts, negotiating with bargaining units, supervising district and building administrators, and supporting the day-to-day operations of both districts.

    Before becoming Deputy Superintendent, Dr. McHugh served as Principal of Cherokee Elementary School and Director of Teaching and Learning in District 67. Prior to working in Lake Forest, he was a second grade teacher, PreK-5 school librarian, and curriculum coordinator in Arlington Heights School District 25. He lives in Lake Zurich with his wife and three children.
