The safety of our students and staff is a top priority. Practicing various drills is a critical step in ensuring our students are able to react quickly in the case of an actual emergency.
On August 16, 2021, Governor Pritzker signed House Bill 2400, establishing new requirements for lockdown drills in schools. One of these requirements includes advance notification of a lockdown drill to all students, staff, and parents, as well as the opportunity for parents to exempt their child from participating in a schoolwide exercise.
If you would like additional information on drill requirements for schools, more information can be found in the Illinois Safety Drill Act.
Please contact Mr. Lane Linder, Director of Safety and Security, email@example.com if you have any questions about the Lockdown/Evacuation procedures or would like to exempt your child(ren) from participating. An alternative process will be offered in these situations.
