2020-2021 School Year
Dear Incoming Kindergarten Families,
Welcome to Lake Forest School District 67! This web page is designed to help with kindergarten enrollment. Please refer to the timeline for Incoming Kindergarten Registration below, which explains the process for entering kindergarten at Lake Forest School District 67.
Lake Forest School District 67 recommends that, to enter kindergarten, children should be five years of age on or before September 1 of their kindergarten year. Parents whose children turn five years of age between September 1 and November 1 of their kindergarten year can request consideration for early entrance if their child’s abilities are accelerated, and skill levels across all major domains are commensurate with what is expected of entering kindergartners.
To view the District's Early Entrance Procedures, including the steps to request consideration for Early Entrance, please visit the Policies and Procedures page of the website.
TIMELINE FOR INCOMING KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION
Step 1: Complete Pre-Registration
Kindergarten Parent Information Meetings
February 6, 6:15-7:15 p.m.
Parents should attend the Kindergarten meeting at their home school.
Parents will learn more about the kindergarten program, meet the kindergarten teachers, and begin the pre-registration process. If you are not able to attend, please visit this page on February 6 for the link to begin the pre-registration process.

After you have pre-registered your student, you must complete the verification of residency and enrollment process in order to attend Lake Forest District 67 schools. The District will email instructions to all parents who have pre-registered with instructions on how to schedule your verification of residency and enrollment appointment in March. Please plan to bring the following documents to your appointment:
- Your Student's Certified, Original Birth Certificate
- At least THREE documents verifying residency (these documents will be scanned and returned to you). Click here to view a list of acceptable verification of residency documents.
Questions related to verification of residency and enrollment can be directed to Natalia Martinez at 847-604-7437 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Step 3: Complete Online Registration and Pay School Fees
All families who have completed pre-registration, and verification of residency and enrollment will receive a email to complete their online registration (PowerSchool) and pay fees for the school year.
