Registration for Continuing Students

Lake Forest School District 67 uses an online registration system (PowerSchool Registration). Parents receive a SnapCode email for each District 67 student that contains a personalized link to complete online registration and fee payment for the following school year.

We encourage families to complete the online registration as soon as possible. Your student's registration will not be considered complete until you have submitted all online registration information and fee payment. Portions of the information you provide on your registration, such as emergency notifications, are required for your student(s) to participate in District field trips. Students with incomplete registration will not be allowed to attend field trips. An additional $25 will be charged per student for payments received after the registration deadline. You will receive a confirmation email after submission.

The District offers fee waivers for required fees for families who meet the eligibility criteria. Guidelines and application forms are available during the online registration process.

Electronic Student Residency Verification

All students registering at Lake Forest School District 67 are required to provide proof of residency. Lake Forest School District 67 has contracted with a third party firm to automatically check information provided during the registration process against electronic records. In the event that residency cannot be verified electronically, a member of our staff will reach out to you to obtain further information and documentation.

Please note: the district may also require additional proof of residency, interviews of the person(s) re-enrolling the student, and/or home visits to verify a student’s residency status if residency is in question.

Change of Address

Any change of address requires an updated proof of residency. If you move to a different residence at any time before or during the school year, including a move within the District 67 school boundaries, you are required to submit new residency documents to Natalia Martinez in a PDF format via email nmartinez@lfschools.net.

Parents/Guardians may withdraw their student from any District 67 school and receive a full refund of registration fees up until the 6th day of school. After the 6th day of school, no refunds will be granted. Parents must contact their school office to notify the District that they are withdrawing their student and fill out a withdrawal form.

If at any time a parent/guardian re-enrolls their student at any of District 67's schools, updated proof of residency and full registration fees will be required.

Parents should give advance notice of their child's transfer to another school to their building principal to permit the preparation of transfer records and reimbursement of accumulated lunch funds or other fees. Parents have the right to review and make copies of all student records prior to transfer and can do so at the time they provide notification of the transfer to another school.

Parents are required to sign a waiver so that academic and health records may be released to the school to which a child is transferred. Report cards and other student records will not be sent until all fees or debts have been paid, or satisfactory arrangements have been made with the principal.

Examinations and Immunizations

Physical Examination/Immunizations are required for all students in kindergarten, second grade, sixth grade, and all new students entering the District from another state or country. An Eye Examination is required for all new students and kindergarten students. A Dental Examination is required for all new students and students entering kindergarten, second, and sixth grade.

School Lunch Program

The lunch program begins on the first full day of school and normally is in operation each full day school is in session. For more information, please visit the Food Services page of this website. Menus are posted online and can be viewed by clicking on the "Menu" tab from each school's homepage.

Transportation

Transportation registration/fee payment is completed during the district’s annual online registration. There is a deadline to register and pay for transportation, and an additional $50.00 will be charged per student after the transportation deadline. No transportation refunds will be issued after September 30.

Parents and guardians are subscribed to receive their school newsletter and other school and District news using the email addresses they provided during online registration. If you have any questions, or problems receiving these communications, please email communications@lfschools.net.

McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act

Board policy governs the enrollment of homeless children. Any homeless child is immediately admitted to school after the completion of required paperwork in the district office. Homeless children are admitted even if the child or child’s parent / guardian is unable to produce records normally required to establish residency.
