At District 67, we believe technology is a powerful tool for teaching and learning, essential to preparing students for success. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate technology into all levels of instruction, enhancing every curriculum and empowering students with essential skills.
We use technology to help students develop:
- Problem-solving skills
- Effective communication
- Independent academic exploration
- The ability to access, evaluate, and utilize information effectively
To ensure seamless access to learning resources, all student devices are networked, allowing for collaboration within classrooms, across buildings, and beyond District 67.
Each student is issued an iPad for use at school, supporting 1:1 learning and enabling teachers to design engaging, student-centered learning experiences. Through our Digital Learning Initiative, teachers are transforming instruction to foster creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving, and global connectedness.
Additionally, starting in the 2024 school year, students in grades 2-4 receive keyboard instruction to further develop digital literacy skills.
