Early Intervention Screenings

Lake Forest School District 67 is providing free early intervention screenings for the 2019-20 school year to children residing in Lake Forest. Children ages 3-5 who have not entered Kindergarten are eligible.

The purpose of early intervention screening is to identify development delays in young children ages 3-5. The screening will be completed by a team of special educators and may
include assessment in the following areas: speech and language; fine and gross motor skills; learning; social/emotional growth; as well as a brief vision and hearing screening.

In order to participate, a child must be registered in advance. After the child is registered, a packet will be sent home with additional information. Parents are asked to complete the necessary forms and bring them on the day of the child’s screening.
