2019 National Geographic GeoBee Illinois State Competition

Congratulations to 8th grader Lili Sandor. She has qualified as a semifinalist eligible to compete in the 2019 Illinois National Geographic GeoBee Illinois State Competition. The contest will be held at Heartland Community College on Friday, March 29, 2019.

Our school champion, 6th grader Joe Remus, was unable to participate in the State GeoBee.  Lili was the Deer Path Middle School runner-up. She then took a qualifying test, which was submitted to the National Geographic Society. The National Geographic Society has invited up to 100 of the top-scoring students in each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, Department of Defense Dependents Schools and U.S. territories to compete in the State Bees.

Congratulations to Lili!
