In response to the Governor’s order to close schools through April 30 and ISBE’s updated  guidelines, we are making the following adjustments to the April calendar. The State has granted districts up to five Remote Learning Planning Days to prepare for instruction during the extended closure. We will use two of these days in April. We are also planning on using Monday, April 13 as a student attendance day since we had to move the Institute Day to March 13. The changes to the April calendar are reflected below.

Monday, April 6 - e-Learning Planning Day

  • No student attendance
  • Teachers plan for next two weeks of instruction

Friday, April 10 - No student or staff attendance day (not a change, just a reminder)

Monday, April 13 - Student and staff attendance day (change—previously an Institute Day)

Monday, April 20 - e-Learning Planning Day

  • No student attendance
  • Teachers plan for next two weeks of instruction

2020 Best Communications for Music Education Banner

For the 2nd year in a row, Lake Forest School District 67 has been honored with the Best Communities for Music Education designation from The NAMM Foundation for its outstanding commitment to music education.

Now in its 21st year, the Best Communities for Music Education designation is awarded to districts that demonstrate outstanding achievement in efforts to provide music access and education to all students.

Due to the resignation of Board of Education member Mike Borkowski, the Board is seeking applications to fill the vacancy for the remainder of Mr. Borkowski's term that ends in April 2021, when the position will be up for election. We would like to have as open a selection process as possible. To this end, we want to encourage as many interested and qualified individuals to apply. Please use this link to read additional information.

Completed applications must be received by no later than 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 7, 2020.
