Expect Cell Cell Phone Alert-NEW DATE! October 3

FEMA has announced that because of the ongoing impact of Florence, it was delaying a scheduled test of a system meant to allow the president to send out a nationwide text during an emergency. The agency announced that the test has been rescheduled for Oct. 3.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency, in coordination with the Federal Communications Commission, will issue a test of the Nationwide Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) which will be sent to all compatible cell phones on Wednesday, October 3 at 1:18 PM CST. This test will be followed by a test of the Emergency Alert System (EAS), which is scheduled to last about one minute and will be similar to regular monthly EAS test messages. Learn more

Spirit Thanks 4 Giving Appreciation Luncheon

The 2nd Annual Thanks 4 Giving Appreciation Luncheon will be held on Friday, October 19th at the beautiful Knollwood Club. This year's luncheon will feature special guest speaker David Flood, author of "The Lost Arts of Dignity, Respect and Compassion".
