Lake Forest School District 67 provides free early intervention screenings for children ages 3-5 that have not entered Kindergarten and reside in Lake Forest. The next screening is Monday, 12/9 from 8:15-12:15 at Sheridan Elementary. The purpose of early intervention screening is to identify developmental delays in young children. The screening is completed by a team of special educators and may include assessment in the following areas: speech and language; fine and gross motor skills; learning; social/emotional growth; as well as a brief vision and hearing screening.
