SophCollegeBoard PSAT/NMSQT Assessment

Dear Sophomore Parent/Guardian and Students,

Lake Forest High School Sophomores are invited to participate in a SophCollegeBoard PSAT/NMSQT assessment on Wednesday, October 16. Participating in this practice SAT assessment will provide students an authentic testing experience and effective feedback on their performance. Sophomore participation in this assessment is completely voluntary. All LFHS Juniors are taking this assessment. The Sophomore students that elect to take the PSAT/NMSQT will join the Juniors being assessed.

 Please note: This PSAT/NMSQT assessment is used to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. 

 Any sophomore who would like to take the PSAT/NMSQT must register by Wednesday, September 18, 2019 using the following link.  LFHS Soph PSAT/NMSQT 2019 registration

 Students should arrive at school by no later than 7:45 am 

  • The assessment starts at 8:00 am. All students should be in their seat and ready to begin the test at this time. 

  • Standard time testing will occur in the field house; testing for students with accommodations will be communicated directly to these students.

  • Standard time testing will conclude at 12:00 pm. Students will eat lunch from 12:00- 12:30 pm and then report to their 6th period class at 12:30 pm.

  • Students must bring their Student ID, #2 pencils with erasers, and an approved calculator. Cell phones and food are not allowed in the testing area.   • All freshmen, sophomores and seniors not taking the test will follow their normal Wednesday (blue day) schedule. 

  • While students may place their backpacks at the back of the testing area, they are encouraged to take them to their lockers if possible.
