TIMELINE FOR 2019-20 INCOMING FRESHMAN REGISTRATION
Step 1: Pre-Registration
The first step in the process is to pre-register your student. This information will be imported into our student information system and allow us to begin planning for the upcoming school year. You will want to return to this page after completing the pre-registration process.
Please note: parents who currently have students registered at LFHS can use their existing log in and password to pre-register their incoming Freshman.
Step 2: Review Curriculum Videos here
Step 3: Schedule Course Selection Appointment
After you have pre-registered your student, you will need to schedule your course selection appointment. Please contact Gail Moesta at firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a time to meet individually with your student’s school counselor.
Please note: Students with an IEP will be contacted by their 8th grade special education case manager to schedule an IEP transition meeting at Lake Forest High School to review and finalize supports and select courses. Students with 504 plans will be contacted by the case managers at the middle school to schedule an annual review of their 504 plan and select courses.
Step 4: Verification of Residency & Enrollment and Course Selection
In order to attend Lake Forest High School, you must verify residency to complete the enrollment process. To do this, you MUST bring your student’s CERTIFIED, ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE and at least THREE documents verifying residency to your student’s course selection appointment. Click here to view a list of acceptable verification of residency documents.
Questions related to verification of residency and enrollment can be directed to Tiffany Smith email@example.com.
Step 5: Complete Online Registration and Pay School Fees
All families who have completed pre-registration and verification of residency and enrollment, will receive a SnapCode email to complete their online registration and pay fees for the 2019-20 school year.
To attend Textbook & Chromebook Pick-Up, participate in Fall athletics, and start school in August, the online registration and fee payment process must be completed by the registration deadline.
NEW Child Dental Examination Requirement (HB 4908/PA 100-0829 Section 27-8.1) Beginning with the 2019-2020 school year, Illinois school code will now require students entering ninth grade to have a dental examination before May 15th of their freshman school year.
