Welcome 2021-2022 LFHS Incoming Freshman Class of 2025!

Dear Incoming Freshmen Families,

Welcome to Lake Forest Community High School District 115. The following timeline of important events and deadlines has been developed to assist with the transition from middle school to LFHS. This registration timeline explains the process for incoming LFHS freshmen for the Fall of 2021.

Step 1: Pre-Registration

The first step in the process is to pre-register your student. This information will be imported into our student information system and allow us to begin planning for the upcoming school year. You will want to return to this page after completing the pre-registration process.

Please note: parents who currently have students registered at LFHS can use their existing login and password to pre-register their incoming Freshman.

Step 2: Review Curriculum Videos

These videos describe the curriculum offerings for freshmen within each department. The videos are hosted by our Instructional Directors and explain the academic options available to incoming 9th graders.

Step 3: Verification of Residency & Enrollment and Course Selection

In order to attend Lake Forest High School, you MUST provide your student’s CERTIFIED, ORIGINAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE and at least THREE documents verifying residency to complete the enrollment process. At the end of January you will be contacted by the registrar for further instruction on how to submit the required documentation.

Electronic Student Residency Verification

All students registering at Lake Forest High School District 115 are required to provide proof of residency. Lake Forest School High District 115 has contracted with a third party firm to automatically check information provided during the registration process against electronic records. In the event that residency cannot be verified electronically, a member of our staff will reach out to you to obtain further information and documentation.

Course Selection

Educational Services will contact the parent/guardian via email in late January to set up an appointment for their student to meet virtually with the student's assigned counselor schedule classes. Appointments will be scheduled according to the schedule  below.

Course Selection Appointment Dates & Times:

  • Thursday, February 4th - Deer Path Middle School - virtual appointments can be scheduled from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.
  • Friday, February 5th - Deer Path Middle School - virtual appointments can be scheduled from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
  • Friday, February 12th - Private Schools for students who live within the District 115 boundaries -  virtual appointments can be scheduled from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
  • Friday February, 19th - Lake Bluff Middle School - virtual appointments can be scheduled from 9:00 AM-5:00 PM.

Step 4: Complete Online Registration and Pay School Fees

All families who have completed pre-registration and verification of residency and enrollment will receive a SnapCode email in May to complete the registration.
