An Update from the Superintendent on District 67 Survey Results, 3/3/21: Last week, District 67 Board of Education President Justin Engelland shared the following message regarding the possibility of expanding in-person offerings for our students following Spring Break:
“Given the desire for full in-person learning being expressed within the community, the Board requested that the Administration survey the community to assess interest in the alternatives and tolerance for potential trade-offs in order to develop a detailed plan for consideration at our upcoming March 16 meeting.”
In response to this Board request, the District 67 Administration team collaborated to create a survey, which was sent to parents last Thursday. The results of the survey can be viewed here.

The D67 COVID-19 Dashboard has been updated for the week of February 22, 2021, to reflect the latest information from our schools and local health departments. As of February 24, the incidence rate for Lake County indicates a slight increase over the past week from 10.1 to 10.6 percent. In addition, the incidence rate for the 60045 zip code has more than doubled from February 17- 24, jumping from 7.4 percent to 15.5 percent. The positivity rate for Lake County as of February, was 3.4 percent, a slight decline from last week. Please use this link to read the entire communication.

To Our District 67 School Community:

I want to provide an update on opportunities for expanded in-person offerings for this year.

Over the last several weeks, COVID-19 infection rates have been significantly declining across both Lake Forest and Lake County. Additionally, Lake County expects the availability of vaccines to significantly increase over the coming weeks.

This is good news. It means that we can all expect students to be back to full-time, in-person learning when school starts in the fall.

These positive developments also create an opportunity for our District to expand in-person offerings for our students after Spring Break. At our Board meeting earlier this week, our Administrative team discussed varying approaches... Please use this link to read the entire communication.
