Our thanks to all who participated in this week’s Lake Forest High School Pfizer teen vaccine clinic. Those who received their first dose of the vaccine will return for dose two on Wednesday, May 26.

In anticipation of Pfizer-BioNTech receiving Emergency Use Authorization from the Food and Drug Administration for its COVID-19 vaccine for children ages 12-15 next week, we are working with the City of Lake Forest, Village of Lake Bluff, and other school districts in our area to schedule a variety of vaccine options for our Lake Forest school community.

Deer Path Middle School - May 16 and June 7
We are working with the City of Lake Forest and Doctors Tests Center to offer the following Pfizer vaccine clinics at DPM. Pending FDA approval, the first dose will be administered on Sunday, May 16 and the second dose will be administered on Monday, June 7.

Deerfield High School - May 16 and June 6
District 67 and District 115 have been invited, in partnership with Walgreens, to participate in a vaccine pod for individuals 12 years and older. Pending FDA approval, the first dose will be administered on Sunday, May 16 and the second dose will be administered on Sunday, June 6. The clinics will be held from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM at Deerfield High School, 1959 Waukegan Road, Deerfield.

May 6, 2021 BRAVE Conversation with Best-Selling Author and Clinical Psychologist Dr. John Duffy

James Martin Landscaping Company will be applying an organic week killer to the grounds of District 67 schools. They will be applying a product called Fiesta Turf Weed Killer. This will be applied when there are no children on site.

The application schedule is as follows: (weather permitting)

  • Saturday, May 1, 2021 - Cherokee, Deer Path, Everett and Sheridan
  • Saturday, May 15, 2021 - Cherokee, Deer Path, Everett and Sheridan
  • Sunday, September 26, 2021 - Cherokee, Deer Path, Everett and Sheridan

Dr. Matthew MontgomeryIn a unanimous vote at the April 12, 2021 Special Board Meeting, the Lake Forest Elementary School District 67 and Lake Forest Community High School District 115 Boards of Education jointly approved the contract for Dr. Matthew Montgomery to become the next Superintendent of Lake Forest Schools, effective July 1, 2021.

Dr. Montgomery, who has been in his current post as Superintendent of the Bath, Ohio Revere Local School District since 2015, was selected following an extensive community engagement and national search process managed jointly by the District 115 and District 67 school boards.
