How We Deliver News To You
- Website: Newly revamped, the District website provides information about all aspects of our schools and student life. This interactive tool provides a calendar of events, news stories, Board of Education information, and resources for students, staff, and families. We continue to refine this updated tool and appreciate your ongoing feedback.
- District Communications: Sent via our new newsletter platform Smore, the team manages all of the regular and ad-hoc emails that flow from the District and the Superintendent’s Office to families and staff.
- Free Subscription Service - Sign Up for AllAccess: For community members who do not have children in our districts, you can still receive Lake Forest School Districts communications, updates and more. Please click here to sign up.
-
Building-Level Newsletters: Every Friday, each school principal sends an end-of-the-week newsletter with celebrations and important information from administrators, parent organizations, and community events to school households.
- District 67 and 115 families are subscribed to receive District and Building-Level communications and newsletters upon completion of enrollment using the email provided during online registration. If your information changes, please contact your school.
-
Social Media: Both Districts 67 and 115 maintain active Instagram and Facebook accounts to connect with students, families, the community, and alumni. Follow us and celebrate our school community!
- Insight 67/Insight 115 Community Newsletter: Households within the district and other community members receive our quarterly newsletters featuring student and staff activities and celebrations, programs available to the public, financial updates, and other school news.
- Community Partnerships and Engagement: As District liaisons to all parent leader groups, as well as the City of Lake Forest, Village of Lake Bluff, and the Lake Forest-Lake Bluff Chamber of Commerce, we seek opportunities for partnerships that serve the needs of our students, staff, and the community at large.
- Special Events: The team works with individual schools and across both Districts to create programming for students, staff, parents, and community members that aligns with goals and strategic priorities. Examples include our community conversation series LET’S TALK, Facilities Master Plan Oversight Committee meetings, and last year’s Portrait of a Learner design team meetings.
- Community Event News/Green Backpack: Districts 67 and 115 allow external nonprofit organizations to submit information through the Green Backpack, a virtual hub for flyer requests. Those include:
-
- Another public or private school, governmental entity, or community-based center;
-
- A non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that offers district-related, non-profit events or initiatives; and
-
- Community athletic or youth organizations.

An alert will be sent using the contact information you provided when you registered your student for school (during InfoSnap online registration). Families may update their contact information on the BrightArrow website.

- Video Content: The Districts record, produce, and post videos of school activities, events, and Board of Education meetings for use on the website, social media, and the District’s YouTube pages here:
- LFHS Alumni Association and LFHS School Tours: LFHS is proud to be developing a strong alumni relations program that informs alumni about school news, creates lasting connections between current students and alumni, and celebrates Scout pride. Our team works with reunion volunteers to plan group tours of the high school throughout the year. Please contact Lesley Fisher (lfhsalumni@lfschools.net) for more information.
