District 67 has received the Best Communities for Music Education Recognition Award for the 5th consecutive year! We received this designation by participating in a national survey that was conducted by the National Association of Music Merchants and several music education organizations across the country. This recognition shows that D67 continues to provide some of the highest quality music programming for students in the nation, and continues to promote artistic endeavors within the broader Lake Forest Community. The breadth and depth of our offerings as well as the support we hold throughout our community is a testament to the strong community we have maintained for our students.
D67 is one of only 975 school districts in the nation to receive this award. Most recent National Center for Education Statistics shows 13,318 school districts in the US putting us in just 10% of the nations districts to receive this recognition. We are one of 32 school districts in the state of Illinois (as of July 1, 2023 Illinois had 852 independent school districts).
