College & Career Counseling Overview
-
Preparation for the college application process begins when our students enter as freshmen.
Our desire is that by the time our students head off to pursue their future, they are academically and socially prepared for the challenges that will come their way. This is a highly individualized process and counselors will work to make sure that students keep as many options as possible open until it comes time to narrow down to a smaller list of selected schools.
College and Career Resource Center
The College and Career Resource Center offers an extensive library that provides a wide variety of resource materials and reference books to assist with the college and career selection process. Jennifer Gleason jgleason@lfschools.net is available from 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday during the school year to assist students and parents and answer any questions and may also be reached by phone at 847-582-7342.
Future Plans
Each year in May, once students have finalized their “future plans,” we put together a booklet that highlights where they are headed or what they will be doing following graduation. Below is the data gathered from the previous four graduating classes.
